Comprehensive Community Plan Assistant – 3 month project contract *EXTENDED*


Department:              Chief Executive Officer          

Reports to:                  Executive Director – Governance and Administration


The Assistant performs a variety of multimedia and data management tasks both independently and in a team environment with the Comprehensive Community Plan Project Manager. The assistant works with the PPM to gather information from all portfolios for the draft CCP to consider for implementation for sustainable community maintenance and growth.


  1. Maintains administrative files for correspondence
  2. Maintains project master schedule, as well as booking meetings, sessions and other events
  3. Produces all minutes of meetings for Comprehensive Community Plan
  4. Responds to telephone, in person or electronic inquiries and other material and co-ordinate the flow of information internally
  5. Photocopies, scans, log and store documents. (Secures information by completing data base input and applicable backups.)
  6. Assists with the generation of documents using appropriate using word processing, spreadsheet, database or presentation software
  7. Produces information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying and transmitting text, data and graphics.
  8. May compile data, statistics and other information to support research activities
  9. Filing – electronic and in office
  10. Engagement technical duties such as note taking, survey input relative to CCP project plan completion
  11. Assist with events for Citizen Engagement if requested
  12. Other technical duties as required for assistance to the Project Manager relative to CCP work plan completion


  • Ability to work independently and in team environment.
  • Be reliable, respectful, honest, and willing to learn.
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office-Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Multi task and able to work in stressful situations to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge about Treaty No 7, Treaty Relations with Canada, Jurisdictional Authority of Tsuut’ina.
  • Must have some knowledge of Tsuut’ina Nation legislative process, culture, language and history.


  1. High school diploma or equivalent or 2 yrs work experience
  2. At least one year of office experience in administration.
  3. Proficient in MS Office, and willing to learn new software in data management
  4. Must have a valid Alberta Driver’s License and must have own reliable transportation.
  5. Must be willing to sign an Oath of Confidentiality and must be able to pass a security clearance.
  6. Must be willing to Travel for business purposes.

SALARY:  Commensurate with education and experience


  • Depending on your position – a Vulnerable Sector check must be required upon application from all provinces, states or countries lived in for the last four years. Vulnerable Sector checks must be completed within the past month.
