This position will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Administrative duties within the Tsuut’ina Development Authority. Technical and clerical review, including processing of applications, certificates, and business licenses in accordance with established policies and procedures. This position manages all duties related to administration, payables, and has exceptional skills in all office applications and is IT savvy. The work is performed under the supervision of the Manager of The Tsuut’ina Development Authority.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required with five (5) years of general clerical experience and a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in development or a construction permit office. A comparable amount of education, training or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: The applicant must have the ability to deal with the general public in a professional, courteous manner and provide support to the permit clerk position as needed. REASONING ABILITY: The applicant must have the ability to answer questions and resolve problem situations, or refer them to an appropriate office. The applicant must follow check lists and recognize different types of required exhibits and plans. The employee must be able to comprehend instructions, reports, permits and applications.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and 5 years of full-time experience or its part-time and/or volunteer equivalent, providing clerical, secretarial or office support work for a building code enforcement office, engineering office, commercial construction company or related agency or business.
Proficient computer skills (Microsoft based applications).
Will be required to carry out other duties as required.
