Title:                Parts Clerk

Department:   Tsuut’ina Mechanic Department

Reports to:      Department Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:

The Parts Clerk’s duties focus on inventory control and executing shop administrative tasks and organizing day-to-day functions, thus freeing the Lead Mechanic to manage shop floor productivity.

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Complete stock parts, tires and repair orders and inventory
  • Schedule Fleet vehicles for service
  • Inventory management
  • Invoicing/Accounts payable Management
  • Payroll submission and tracking
  • Handle warranty part ordering/returns
  • Pick up and return parts as needed
  • Operates computer terminal to input and retrieve data
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technical understanding of automotive/truck parts required; pervious parts room experience preferred
  • 2 years of customer service experience required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel required
  • Customer service skills, ability to work independently, and organizational skills required
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

 IN ADDITION:

  • Depending on your position – a Vulnerable Sector check must be required upon application from all provinces, states or countries lived in for the last four years. Vulnerable Sector checks must be completed within the past month.
