SUMMARY

The ideal candidate will take a leadership role in guiding all Human Resources aspects of the Nation.  As a key member of the Senior Leadership team, you report to the CEO and work very closely with an active, engaged Chief and Council.  Key elements of this role include;

  • Directing, leading and managing all aspects of Human Resources for the Nation.
  • Developing and implementing the strategic plan in conjunction with the Senior Management team.
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reports for senior management, and Chief and Council as required.
  • Providing expert Human Resources advice to all stakeholders.
  • Leading Human Resources which includes; Business Partners, Benefits and Pension specialists, Recruitment, Admin Assistants, Receptionists.

As the ideal candidate you bring a track record of success over the last ten (10) years in Indigenous Human Resources Management, working in and with an Indigenous community and / or business.

You are a Certified Indigenous Human Resources professional (AFOA – CIHRP), or a Chartered Human Resources Professional with a strong understanding of Trauma informed leadership.

You are Indigenous or have experience working successfully with Indigenous organizations.

You are a capacity building team leader with excellent managerial and communication skills.  Your unwavering ethics and integrity will round out this optimal set of competencies.

 

IN ADDITION:

  • Depending on your position – a Vulnerable Sector check may be required upon application from all provinces, states or countries lived in for the last four years. Vulnerable Sector checks must be completed within the past month.
