DEPARTMENT:     Food Bank

REPORTS TO:        Warehouse Lead


The Tsuut’ina Food Bank is currently seeking a full-time Warehouse Assistant/Driver to join our    team.


  Assist the Warehouse Lead in the following:

  • Maintain inventory of stock, including food rotation
  • Ensuring safe and proper food handling practices
  • Assist in completing accurate food tracking
  • Prepare hampers for clientele
  • Receiving drop offs from donors and volunteers
  • Assist in organizing all aspects of inventory for warehouse food and supplies
  • Assist in organizing scheduled times for pick up and ensuring proper logs are used and maintained
  • Maintain warehouse equipment, ensuring regular maintenance or repairs are completed
  • Assist Warehouse Coordinator in coordinating warehousing operations for the Emergency Food, Elder distributions and all other food distributions as planned
  • Maintain weekly inventory log dry and frozen, rotate stock, and request food
  • orders as necessary
  • Insure that Food Safety & Sanitation is monitored and maintained
  • Drive for pickups when Warehouse Manager is unavailable
  • Demonstrate and encourage a professional and positive attitude in all job related activities
  • Accomplish all work activities in a safe and timely manner within assigned time frames
  • Complete other tasks assigned by supervisors which are consistent with the definition and intent of the job description
  • Ensuring cleanliness of Food Bank facility is up to Health Canada Code of Ethics


  • Warehouse experience involving food is an asset
  • Meet the physical demands such as lifting of 50+ lbs., moving throughout the warehouse, ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to operate power pallet jacks
  • Valid driver’s license & clean drivers abstract
  • Ability to operate company vehicles


  • Depending on your position – a Vulnerable Sector check must be required upon application from all provinces, states or countries lived in for the last four years. Vulnerable Sector checks must be completed within the past month.
