I’m sharing a new Call for Artists from The Confluence Historic Site & Parkland for our Phase 2 Exhibition Redevelopment.
The Confluence is seeking an Indigenous artist or creative team from Treaty 7 Territory to create an immersive overhead artistic installation inspired by the Northern Lights. The installation will be positioned between the new Tsuut’ina Nation and Stoney Nakoda First Nations exhibits and will create a shared visual experience connecting the two gallery spaces.
The project budget is approximately $5,000 CAD (exclusive of GST), and artists working in traditional, contemporary, or interdisciplinary practices are encouraged to apply.
Key Dates:
Questions Deadline: August 31, 2026
Submission Deadline: September 10, 2026 at 4:00 PM MST
Artist Selection: September 25, 2026
Project Start: October 5, 2026
Installation: March 2027
