Free Indigenous Youth Theatre Workshop

Please be advised that there is an upcoming free Indigenous youth theatre workshop taking place in Calgary this August.

Oshkagoojin Indigenous Theatre for Youth Inc. (OITY) is excited to offer Stories to Play in the City… and the Mountains, a free Indigenous theatre workshop for youth. This workshop is a chance for Indigenous youth to explore storytelling, creativity, and theatre through different activities, theatre games, and creative writing.

The workshops will include:
Ages 8–12: Youth will explore theatre games, movement, masks, imagination, and Indigenous storytelling.
Ages 13–17: Youth will take part in a collaborative Storytelling Writing Lab where they can create their own stories, develop characters, and explore their creativity.

Dates: Sunday, August 16 and Monday, August 17
Time: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: Holy Gathering Place at The Confluence

Youth are welcome to attend one or both workshop days. Each day is designed as a stand-alone experience. Registration is free, and we are able to welcome up to 25 participants.
