Open Letter to Chiefs, First Nations, Elders, and Youth regarding First Minister’s Meeting

“Dear Chiefs, Councils, technicians, advisors, knowledge keepers, and colleagues,

Please find attached an open letter concerning matters of significant importance to First Nations, Treaty rights, and our collective interests.

I have been instructed to disseminate this letter as broadly as possible to ensure that First Nations leadership, advisors, technicians, and interested individuals are made aware of its contents and have the opportunity to review and share it within their respective Nations, organizations, and networks.

Given the importance of the issues raised, we respectfully encourage you to circulate the letter widely among your leadership, staff, citizens, and partners as appropriate. Broad awareness and engagement are critical as these matters have implications that extend beyond any single Nation or region.
