ENMAX Power Upcoming Overhead Upgrades on Tsuut’ina Nation

Article

Dzīnísī gújā(Good day),

Please be advised that ENMAX Power will be modifying and upgrading some overhead electrical equipment throughout Tsuut’ina Nation in 2025 and 2026. Phase 2 work includes relocating sections of difficult to access power poles, anchor supports and overhead electrical cables to more accessible locations, with less vegetation interference. The intent of this work is to enhance reliability, improve outage response times, and reduce the need for vegetation management near electrical equipment.

Over the coming weeks, Tsuut’ina Nation residents may see ENMAX activity in the area as well as wooden stakes placed in the ground. These wooden stakes will represent where new wooden power poles will be installed. Staking is an important project design process to ensure that ENMAX meets all applicable electrical standards and requirements.
